Dr. Oscar Suarez Peñalba Ubaldo
Dr Oscar Ubaldo Peñalba Suarez was born in Tandil, Argentina where he completed his medical studies at the National University of La Plata. He began his training as a specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Instituto Universitario Dexeus in Barcelona (Catalan Institute of Traumatology and Sports Medecine).
He obtained the title of specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery in Spain and Argentina, and his career has been closely linked to sport, due to his activities and relationships as a leading athlete (member of the Argentine National Athletics Team). His initial jobs were on the slopes of the Pyrenees and in hospitals whose main activity was Sports Traumatology, forming part of the trauma team that covered the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelone 92 Olympics.
It is worth highlighting his contribution to the promotion of this specialty whilst carrying out his activities as Medical Director at the Zafra Trauma Centre (a clinic dedicated to Orthopaedic and Traumatological Surgery, based in Zafra), as Head of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Via de la Plata Clinic, Zafra, and Head of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Hospital Complex Llerena-Zafra, (Extremadura Health Service). He currently combines the running of his own centre in Madrid with surgery at the La Milagrosa Hospital in Madrid with Head of Orthopaedic and Traumatology Surgion in collaboration with the Grupo Recoletas at Cuenca Hospital, following a period of collaboration as Orthopaedic Surgeon and Traumatology at the Institute of Traumatology Estevez (Nuestra Señora de América Clinic, Madrid). He has participated and cooperated on a multitude of courses, lectures, seminars, and conferences, sharing both knowledge and new techniques, nationally and internationally.
Dr. Álvaro Sáez-Arenillas Martín
Dr. Álvaro Sáez-Arenillas Martín studied Medecine and Surgery at the prestigious University of Salamanca, achieving outstanding academic results and obtaining the Specialization in Orthopardic Surgery and Traumatology at San Carlos University Hospital, a subsidiary of the Madrid Complutense University.
His academic excellence lead him in the same year, 2008, to an envious Resident Medical Intern position and to prove his Research Competence (Diploma of Advanced Studies) in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology. He has instantly appointed to, and continues to be, Honourable Collaborator to the Department of Surgery at the Madrid Complutense Madrid, and Evaluator of the Objective Structured Clinical Evaluation for 6th year Medecine.
He has worked in major hospitals in Madrid such as the University Hospital La Paz and the University Children's Hospital Niño Jesús and mainly at the Estevez Institute of Traumatology at the Our Lady of America Clinic. Member of the Illustrious Official College of Physicians of Madrid, he combines surgery at La Milagrosa Hospital, Madrid with the vice directorate at Solcot Clinic in Madrid and the coordination of the Trauma Service at Hospital Recoletas. Dr. Sáez-Arenillas collaborates on a large number of papers and conference presentations, as well as publications and strict continuous training.
Aitor Pastor Sánchez - Physiotherapist
Aitor Pastor Sánchez, born in Valdecaballeros, Badajoz, completed his undergraduate studies in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences with highest honours at the University Camilo José Cela, subsequently complementing these studies with a Degree in Physiotherapy at the same university, consolidating his academic training with a Diploma in Physical Education.
His professional activity has always been focused on the health-sports sector, developing his deep knowledge as a professional football player and simultaneously coach in the same sport in junior posts for both Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid; later he acted as personal trainer and physical therapist in renowned institutions such as Banco Santander Financial City.
His additional training is as extensive as his academic, with expertise ranging from Pilates to bodybuilding, weight-training and fitness, as well as his knowledge gained at the Ferran Adrià school of sports and nutrition, nowadays knowledge of fundamental importance. In Solcot, Aitor Pastor uses his expertise to ensure patients enjoy a quick and satisfactory evolution of their pathology, be it with treatments that start at the very hospital after surgery, at home or in our partner centre with more than 2500 m2 dedicated physical health, including a pool and the latest technology to guarantee a favourable recovery.
